With over 30 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), I specialize in helping individuals manage life’s challenges. My approach is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and focused on understanding both present struggles and underlying patterns that may be holding you back. Whether you’re seeking short-term support or deeper personal growth,
I offer a safe space for healing.
Life is sometimes complicated and difficult. Most of the time, we are able to overcome obstacles, maintain healthy relationships, and meet the challenges of everyday life ... and then there are other times. When our tried and true methods of coping are just not getting us there and we find ourselves unsure about the future,
struggling with relationships,
not taking good care of ourselves, depressed, anxious, angry, lost ...
it's time to get an extra set of eyes and ears on our side.
Counseling is helpful in resolving the issues at hand. What do I do? How am I going to cope? How can I resolve this?
Psychotherapy turns its head to the causes and origins of our difficulties. Why do we keep choosing the same partners? Why do we keep having the same struggles and arguments? Why won't that other person change?
How do I come to terms with the past?
It's not easy to open your life and your soul to a person you've never met, but I'm worthy of your trust. I will not judge you or shame you or criticize you. I don't find those ways of thinking helpful in the least. I will listen to what you've been doing and thinking … not doing and not thinking … and together we'll look at it and evaluate whether how you've been has been helpful to you or not. If it has been getting in your way toward health and happiness, we'll explore how changes can be made, and how
I can support you in making those changes.
Most people contemplate engaging in counseling and psychotherapy for a long time; often years, before they actually make the call.
If what you're dealing with is seriously impacting your life and/or been going on for a long time and hasn't changed enough for you to be happy; if you don't know what the
next step is,
how long are you going to wait to get started?
Getting started can be uncomfortable at first, it's new and we don't know what to expect (we humans like to know what's going to happen). Together we'll start to form a plan. I'm here to help you.
I will never judge you.
